Nicole and John’s story began in the dust and questionable fashion choices of Burning Man. Fast-forward through a barefoot wedding in Hawaii, two years of globe-trotting, and a crash course in “how many overnight buses can a relationship survive,” COVID grounded these two wanderers back in Aotearoa, New Zealand. But instead of getting restless, they got inspired.
That’s how they found this magical, hidden valley—25 acres of lush New Zealand forest filled with actual kiwis (the bird kind), glow worms that throw better light shows than Coachella, and tui birds that sound like R2-D2 after a few too many coffees, amongst many other wonders waiting to be explored. They didn’t just move in; they became kaitiaki—guardians of the land, protectors of the fluffy, feathery, and glowy locals.
And now? They’re sharing it with you.
